The Good Life is....Working at Home :)

I've been blessed with the knowledge to build websites and make money working from home. My journey on the internet began about eight years ago when I learned how to build a website through a business class in college.

The more time I spent on the internet, the more information I came across about making money from home and having an online business. The knowledge I gained has provided multiple streams of income and best of all, I can work in my sweats and have messy hair :)

If you've ever thought about starting an online business, I invite you to my website where I provide a wealth of resources. I have articles on online marketing, business opportunities, and more. Visit: Online Business Resources

Affirmations to Manifest All That You Desire

This past year I've been "reprogramming" my brain in order to think more positively about life. A former relationship left me with low self-worth and an unhealthy attitude towards life. It's taken almost ten years to bring myself "back to life". This past year has been a very important turning point in my life in that I've been able to dig deep within to finally find myself and find out what my true purpose is.

This year I've been blessed to be given so many resources to help me in all areas of my life. One of the tools I've learned about is affirmations which I may have talked about in a previous post a few months back.

I've been using quite a few affirmations to reprogram my brain. For many years I would always say, "I don't have enough money" or "I'm broke", etc. Little did I know that this was self-sabotage and hindering me from receiving abundance. Now I say, "I am prosperous" and "God provides me with all that I need". I've learned that whatever you think will manifest in your life. Your mind is a powerful tool in creating the life that you desire.

Since practicing affirmations, I've come across other people on the internet who also use affirmations in their life. One such person I've "met" on the internet is Linda Miller, owner of
Spiritual Entrepreneur Today. Linda provides very good articles and resources on her website and has come up with many affirmations to help you manifest all that you desire in your own life:

-I am open to receiving all that is mine by divine right, now flowing my way quickly, under grace and in miraculous ways. I look with wonder all of my abundance!

-I am an eternal spiritual being having an abundant and prosperous human experience.

-I choose to feel good, attracting into my life the manifestation of my desires.

-I love all lessons that I am given and I am grateful for my experiences.

-I am thankful for the abundance and prosperity in all aspects of my life as I easily manifest all that I desire.

-All doors now open for happy surprises and the Divine Plan of my life is speeded up under grace.

-I now attract to me quality, motivated people who make a positive decision to join me in my business endeavor immediately today.

-Worrying is like saying little prayers for things you don't want.

-Money is energy and it is here to serve me. Having money allows me to serve others.

-I attract and magnetize to me all that I require and all that I desire under grace and in a perfect way.

-I am thankful for the wealth and abundance we are able to create together for our mutual good.

-I deny debt. There is no debt in divine mind, therefore, I owe no man anything. All obligations are now wiped out under grace and in a miraculous way.

-I bless my checkbook and each check I write. I give thanks that the money going out is now coming back into my bank account tenfold. I give thanks that my bank account is filling up rapidly with money.

-I give and receive love freely and generously as I am blessed with meaningful, lifelong relationships and cherished memories that bring me joy in happy times and strength and peace in difficult times.

-I practice gratitude which lifts and inspires me as I recognize and appreciate all that empowers me to find and express true joy.

-There is no fear in me. Prosperity is mine. God provides lavishly for me and all of humanity.

-I AM OPEN TO RECEIVING.

Family Love

It's great to finally reunite with friends and family. The last time my family was together was two and a half years ago at my cousin's wedding. I've been separated from my family most of my adult life.

At the age of 18 I decided that it was time for me to begin my life journey. After much begging and pleading, my father let me go because he knew what it meant to be able to follow your dreams and live your own life. Now that I think about it, in many ways he and I are alike.

After three years of living in my homeland of the Philippines, I flew thousands of miles to go to college in San Diego and be with the person I thought I was in love with. But that's another story....

It's been quite a journey since I left "the nest" and I've come to realize just how important my family is to me. They're back in California again and it's a blessing to be able to reconnect with them. There's nothing like a family who supports you and loves you unconditionally.

Quote for the Week

" I have learned that success lies not in the destination, but in how you choose to take your journey. Success is living with integrity - in relentless pursuit of whatever it is that you are truly passionate about. What does this mean? It means that if you have spent every moment of your life striving to realize your absolute full potential in every way possible, then, and only then, can you consider yourself a success. Don't ever shy away from this success for fear of stepping outside your comfort zone or challenging the norm."

Change Your Beliefs and You Change Your Life

by Tim Ong

Our mind is to our body what the software is to the computer. It controls the body. Whatever words and deeds that come out through your mouth or your body must first be conceived in your mind. Our belief system is comparable to the computer's operating system (OS). It determines....

1. how we respond or react to the external world and circumstances, and
2. what we attract into our life

If you look carefully at yourself, you'll realise that how you respond to a certain situation is largely dependant on your core beliefs. If you believe that the world out there is a dog-eat-dog world, you'll respond in a certain way. You'll put on your guard when you deal with people around you, with a greater degree of mistrust and apprehension. This is a common mindset in the business world.

Contrast that with your mindset when you're in a sacred place, for example in a church or a temple. Your responses toward people in such places are entirely different from your usual dealing with your business associates. Even your words become softer and gentler. Your entire mannerism changes.

So how we respond to the external world depends on our core beliefs.

The second fact to remember, and this is important if we want to change our life, is that our core beliefs also determine what we attract into our life. This is consistent with the Universal Law of Attraction that says like attracts like.

This is because our belief system is like our computer's operating system. If your computer is running a Windows OS, your mind will only be attracted to softwares and programmes that is compatible with the Windows environment. It automatically overlooks programmes for Macs and Linux because you know you cannot run those programmes in your PC. Thus our belief system may limit our possibilities in life.

Likewise, if you believe in scarcity (as opposed to a belief in abundance), you'll attract circumstances into your life that is consistent with that belief and so you'll find yourself in constant struggle to accumulate the wealth you want.

Note that what you believe need not be what you want.

What this means is that...

WHATEVER YOUR MIND CONCEIVES AND BELIEVES, IT ACHIEVES
... without fail!

In fact, this truth is so important that I will repeat it once more.

WHATEVER YOUR MIND CONCEIVES AND BELIEVES, IT ACHIEVES... without fail!

Like a seed, the imprints in our mind will bear fruits when circumstances are conducive for its ripening. How fast and whether a belief manifests itself in our physical reality is dependant on:

1. the strength of our belief
2. the duration we hold that belief

The stronger and longer we hold our belief, the more likely it is to crystalise or come true in our life.

By knowing this, we can therefore change our life by changing our belief systems. What we need to do is to recognise our present belief systems which are not working for us and replace those beliefs with those that will work in our favour. Hold these new beliefs long enough and we'll change the outer reality of our life.

This is the key to re-inventing your life.

EXERCISE

Here's how you can apply this principle in your life:

1. Sieve through your mind and identify your core beliefs. Write them down and see for yourself how your behaviour has been consistent with your core beliefs.

2. Select and change the core beliefs that are not working for you with those that work. For example, if you previously believe in scarcity you should now replace that with the belief in abundance. Hold this new belief strongly and long enough and your behaviour will automatically change to become consistent with your new belief and you'll attract abundance into your life. That's a certainty!

Motivational Quote

Here's a motivational quote I came across that I wanted to share....

"The person with a fixed goal, a clear picture of his desire, or an ideal always before him, causes it, through repetition, to be buried deeply in his subconscious mind and is thus enabled, thanks to its generative and sustaining power, to realize his goal in a minimum of time and with a minimum of physical effort. Just pursue the thought unceasingly. Step by step you will achieve realization, for all your faculties and powers become directed to that end."

My Fourth Love

In the past few years I've come to rediscover my love for writing. As a young girl I always kept a journal (and still do) and even started writing a book in the fourth grade -- never finished it for whatever reason.

Lately I've been writing like crazy and I still aspire to write a book someday.... In the upcoming weeks I'll share with you some of the articles I've written which have been published in magazines, ezines, and websites all across the internet. I think a couple of them I've already shared.

Here's an article I just finished last night... This article is free to republish as long as the resource box is included. Please email maria@salondemaria.info with the link of where the article is published. Thank you!

Update Your Look With the Latest in Fashion Accessories
By Maria Palma

Sometimes it’s just not in your budget to buy a new wardrobe for the season. However, updating your wardrobe can be as simple as buying a few new accessories. You can find great bargains on good, quality accessories if you have the will and patience. Quality accessories can make your outfit look polished and updated.

Accessories to an outfit is like icing is to a cake. You just can’t do without them! The top three accessories that should be chosen with care are jewelry, shoes, and purses. Buy the right accessories and you could look chic and trendy. Buy the wrong accessories and you could end up looking cheap and outdated.

Jewelry can add dazzle to any outfit. Jewelry made of gemstones and precious metals can be worn for years and will outlive any outfit. There are many bargains across the internet on unique, handcrafted jewelry. You can even have a unique jewelry piece custom made just for you.

Believe it or not, the one accessory that can make or break your outfit is your shoes. Shoes need to complement your outfit and not steal all the attention away from you (unless they’re really, really cute of course!) Please, please choose shoes that you can be comfortable walking in. Invest in leather shoes if possible. Don’t spend that much on trendy shoes unless you think that they’ll make comeback in the future.

Your purse will tell people more about you than you think. Are you fun? Conservative? Ready for anything? Organized? For an everyday purse, I recommend buying a leather purse that can withstand all the abuse of everyday life.

Contrary to popular belief, your purse should actually match your outfit. However, a purse doesn’t necessarily have to match your shoes. A purse is an accessory that you can use to express your personality if you have to wear a suit to work everyday.

It is possible to update your wardrobe without having to go out and spend thousands of dollars. Just look for the right accessories and you’ll be looking chic and trendy in no time!

Visualize Your Way to a Better Life

On the weekends I like to take some time out and visualize a better way of life. I browse through Dream Homes and shop for my mansion, or just sit and meditate on my life long goals and aspirations.

One thing I've learned about life is that you can do anything you set your mind to. I know it sounds a little cliche, but it's true. I look back on my life and realize that I have always attained every goal that I've had because of the will to make it happen (Thank God!).

Whether it's to be healthy, have financial success, or a happy relationship, it all begins with the mind. All our wants and dreams start with the mindset that it can and will happen. It's a will and conviction to succeed that drives us to take action and create the energy that motivates and inspires us.

Every morning and night I meditate and visualize on what I want to accomplish in life. I highly recommend this practice to achieve all that you want. Try it - you may like it :)

How To Live a Rich Life

by Carole Pagan

In today’s world, you may not even know what it is to live a balanced life. When chaos and stress are the norm – a balanced life seems like some nostalgic notion.

So just what is a balanced life? Basically, it’s having time for everything –
* Satisfying work
* Clean comfortable home
* Eating right
* Getting exercise
* Talking care of yourself
* Having time to spend with family and friends
* Having time for hobbies, or reading
* Having time to just relax
* Getting enough rest
* Having enough money to pay bills, have adequate savings, and money left for fun.

The truth is, very few people live balanced lives today. Anytime more focus is put on one area of your life, the other areas suffer.

The most common cause of life imbalance is wanting more than you can afford – working longer hours to make more money, and having more and more debt – takes away from your quality of life.

Ironic, isn’t it? The things you think you want, in reality, make your life worse.

All around, I see people with big houses they can barely afford, little or no furniture, and no time to spend enjoying it. Then of course, people want the Escalade that costs as much to keep gassed up as the outrageous payment.

Ask yourself, is working all those hours to keep these “things” really making you happy?

In most cases you can find a less expensive choice that will serve your needs just as well. The benefits of the less expensive choice would be more money to spend on other things, and not having to work as hard.

To many people, cutting back is a sign of failure. I don’t know about you, but putting all that work into keeping up appearances and never having any time to really live life doesn’t seem very successful. What do you think?

Do you really want the big home that you have to work extra hard to pay for, pay taxes on, furnish, keep clean and maintain? Or would you be happier with something a little smaller that would give you extra time and money so you could actually enjoy life? All of this “gotta have it now” thinking is just making everyone miserable. No one can ever seem to have enough, or work hard enough, or have enough time. So much stress.

Imagine how different your life would look if you had-

* A home just big enough to fill all of your needs, that’s easy to keep clean and maintain.

* A nice car that gets good gas mileage and doesn’t take a lot to maintain.

Wouldn’t that be a lot less stressful? Before you buy that next “gotta have” thing, think about the real cost in time, money, and what else you have to sacrifice. Is it really worth it? Will it really make you happy in the long run?

All it takes is slight changes and you can have a much richer life. Start focusing on having time to do the things that make life worth living. Make time to garden, hike, golf, boat, paint, read, or whatever else you love to do. Spend time with family and friends. Get involved in your community.

A richer life is not about money and things. It’s about truly living.

Hidden Treasures

Just like young children, I love finding treasures. Yesterday I was enlightened to find hidden in the quiet community of Clairemont (San Diego), a treasure called Bright Side Tile and Ceramic Gifts.

My friend Angela and I were out throwing Avon catalogs when we noticed a brightly painted home nestled in a quiet corner. It looked like the garage had been converted into a studio/store. My artistic instinct drew me into the garage where the shelves were stacked with ceramics, paints, and all kinds of fun stuff. There wasn't a soul in sight. I ooohed and ahhhed over all the cute painted tiles thinking that I had just stepped into a small part of Heaven. I felt right at home....

I picked up a refrigerator magnet that read, "Divine Love...Flowing Through Me". I thought I could give it as a gift, but I think I may keep it for myself :) I rang the doorbell to pay for it. No answer. I left the money, my card, and an Avon booklet with a note.

It's finding the unexpected in what may otherwise appear to be an ordinary day that lifts my spirit and gets my creative juices flowing!

Thanks, Sandy! (She's the artist behind the art - which I hope to meet someday...)
