Friends For Life

I visited a friend who was in town for the week and staying at her parents house here in San Diego. It was great to reminisce about old times and talk about other people we grew up with.

As we get older we start to realize the value of true friendships and this I realized today. Friends who are always there for you, non-judgmental....someone you can count on whenever you're in a bind...and someone who'll just listen if you just need to rant.

What's so special about my bond with this friend is that we've known each other for about twenty-five years now and we've never fought. We've been through so much together. And though we've been separated by oceans and thousands of miles, we've managed to somehow keep in touch. She's like the sister I never had. In fact, I do think of her as my soul-sister. And I truly appreciate everything that she's done for me...

So, Karyn, if you're reading this - THANK YOU!

No, thank you Marites, for our many years of friendship. i feel the exact same way. With all the major (and minor) events that have happened in our lives and we have ALWAYS been there for each other, even when miles apart.

It's true we have a special bond, one that will last for many years to come. And i know that no matter what the future may bring, i can find comfort in knowing that we will always have each other.

We may not be sisters by blood, but that is what your are to me.

love you,
karyn
