Your Dreams Fulfilled

Wouldn't it be great to wake up one day and have your dreams fulfilled?

What would that feel like for you?

Close your eyes and pretend that you have all that your heart desires.

Did you feel ecstatic? Blessed? Thrilled?

Why can't you feel like this right now with your current situation? It's just a matter of knowing that your heart's desires are in the process of happening. You know that you'll get what you want - you just need a little patience.

And it's so hard to be patient, I know this. We live in a world that works on instant gratification. People want things now not realizing that the real reward is in the actual process of achieving those dreams.

Enjoy the ride today. Feel thrilled, blessed, and happy today. Great things will happen when you do....

Thought For the Week From Dave Chappelle

Dave Chappelle
One of my favorite comedians is Dave Chappelle. He's a pretty raw person - at times a bit controversial, but as an artist he's quite creative and funny. I read a piece on him in a magazine and wanted to quote something he said:

"We all have a personal message that we're trying to get across and it's about more than making money."

This was probably said after he walked off the set of his show on Comedy Central and left everybody wondering what happened to him. He turned down the $50 million (yes, $50 million) contract with Comedy Central and opted to make a movie instead. A pretty bold move on his part, but I can understand he didn't want to undermine his integrity as an artist. He felt like he lost control of his show, I'm sure. Rumors were spread about him, but who really knows what happened.... I'm not the one to judge.

Hats off to you, Dave Chappelle!

Book Review: Manifest Your Destiny by Wayne Dyer

I'm almost at the end of reading "Manifest Your Destiny" by Wayne Dyer. The more I read his books, the stronger my faith is and the more peaceful I become. I've certainly learned quite a bit from reading Dr. Dyer's books and I'm truly grateful for the knowledge and wisdom that he shares.

In this book Dr. Dyer gives us a step-by-step plan for manifesting all that we desire in life. Here's an excerpt that is particularly eye-opening for me:

"Understand the essence of what you desire. What you desire is not necessarily in the realm of things. If you want to manifest money, for example, notice if your attention is centered on the dollars or on the experience and feeling of financial security. Ask yourself what you want the money for. Put your attention on the joyous experiences that you associate with what you are desiring rather than focusing on a new automobile or a new boss or a new partner. The experience is the essence of your desire."

By reading this book you learn to become more patient with what you want out of life. A must read!

Prosperity Is Waiting For You

Many people chase prosperity not realizing that prosperity has always been there...waiting on them. Every moment you are prospering. Every moment you are working on your dreams.

Just stop. Breathe. Take it all in. Realize that you are living your dreams. Realize that you are already prosperous. Realize that you are already rich.

If only you had known that you were already on the path to success. But you spent so much time worrying about how you were going to get there. Let the Universie handle the "hows". It's just up to you to clarify and state exactly what it is that you want.

Friends For Life

I visited a friend who was in town for the week and staying at her parents house here in San Diego. It was great to reminisce about old times and talk about other people we grew up with.

As we get older we start to realize the value of true friendships and this I realized today. Friends who are always there for you, non-judgmental....someone you can count on whenever you're in a bind...and someone who'll just listen if you just need to rant.

What's so special about my bond with this friend is that we've known each other for about twenty-five years now and we've never fought. We've been through so much together. And though we've been separated by oceans and thousands of miles, we've managed to somehow keep in touch. She's like the sister I never had. In fact, I do think of her as my soul-sister. And I truly appreciate everything that she's done for me...

So, Karyn, if you're reading this - THANK YOU!

Being Grateful For All That Comes Your Way

Every morning when I wake up and at night when I get ready to go to sleep, I meditate and give thanks for all that has come my way. I learned this practice of giving thanks when I took a rites of passage class during college (Dr. Monges at Chico State is a great teacher, by the way!). Dr. Monges had us write down five things that we can be thankful for every day and ever since then I have always been mindful of all the gifts that the Universe has given me.

Do you give thanks for the money that comes your way? Kavit Haria over at Awareness and Consciousness gives a great post on paying your bills with love and tells us that we can't be upset when we receive bills - especially if we don't have the money to pay them. I've learned to be grateful for the money that I get, no matter how small the amount, because it paves the way for more money to come in. We must always keep in mind that money is just energy - it's just paper.

So, what can you be grateful for today?

Courage To Change

Sometimes in life we don't take enough chances and usually it's due to fear. Something may have happened in our past that makes us cautious and we just don't want to get hurt or fail again.

It takes alot of courage to take those risks in life. But if you can just get over that hump of fear, you may find the best things in life happen when you do! If you can just go into a situation and think that the Universe will take care of you no matter what happens, I think it eases the worries and anxieties you may feel.

When I wanted to quit my job and go into business for myself full time, I didn't think I was ready financially. But in my heart I knew I couldn't stand one more day of doing something I didn't want to do. So I took that risk - I quit - and the Universe made way for even more income to flow in!

Is there something you want to do but don't want to take that chance? Here's a website that you may like to read that may give you the courage....Everyday Courage Blog

True Faith

"Faith is to believe what you do not yet see; the reward for this faith is to see what you believe"
-- St. Augustine

I've been taught that the opposite of faith is doubt. And even an ounce of doubt about something shows your lack of faith in God and a lack of faith in yourself in that you can't achieve what you want.

But I'm here to tell you that anything is possible. Whatever you think shall be... If you can think it in your mind, it can happen for you.

Faith made it possible for me to live the life I'm living right now. A year ago I never would of thought that I'd be working from home doing something that I love (writing and making jewelry). But I kept at it despite urgings from family and friends to get a full-time job doing these I didn't enjoy. I was driven and I knew that the Universe had big plans for me. I refused to let doubt sink in and I kept the faith.

What does faith mean to you?

Inspirational Life Quote

"The person with a fixed goal, a clear picture of his desire, or an ideal always before him, causes it, through repetition, to be buried deeply in his subconscious mind and is thus enabled, thanks to its generative and sustaining power, to realize his goal in a minimum of time and with a minimum of physical effort. Just pursue the thought unceasingly. Step by step you will achieve realization, for all your faculties and powers become directed to that end."~ Claude M. Bristol

A Secret to Living a Longer Life

I had some much needed fun this weekend! Sometimes in life we get caught up in work that we don't take time out to actually enjoy life....Spending time with my best friends and going to the movies was part of that fun :)

What is the one thing that you've wanted to do in awhile but haven't done? Today is the day to do it. Let down your hair and go out and pretend that you're a kid again! It's a great way to give you that boost of energy. We need those breaks to get our creative juices flowing again.

Be spontaneous for a change and have some fun! That's how you can live a longer, happier life.

Relaxation Script/Affirmation

Here's a great relaxation affirmation I received via email today and wanted to share it with you:

Right now, I am relaxing and letting go of anyworries, tension or stress. I breathe deeply, inhaling clarity and peace, and exhaling anything that no longer supports my overall well-being. I am giving myself this moment of quiet to refocus, allowing myself to be present and centered in the flow of life. All that I need is here, now. I open myself to receive. I let go of anything that is not really mine to handle. I now see my next steps unfolding with clarity and order. I know exactly what to do to take care of myself and to accomplish all that is mine to do this day, with ease and grace. I breathe deeply, inhaling clarity and peace, and allowing clarity and peace to fill me on every level. I am truly grateful for all the goodness in my life and I am moving forward feeling relaxed, refreshed, alert, vibrant and peaceful.

Have a wonderful, peace-filled day,

The Secret to Staying Healthy

I've been feeling "under the weather" for the past few days, thus the lack of posts here. I've worked non-stop for the past month or so - between writing, making and selling my jewelry, life has been busy - to say the least. I certainly won't complain because I'm doing what I love, but I still need to REST!

And resting is not something I'm very good at :) My mind is constantly thinking of things I want to do..need to do...have to do... But the fact is, I don't have to do anything. I just need to be. I must relax - that's the secret to staying healthy!

I called a friend the other day and she told me that we just don't allow ourselves the time to rest. It's the Universe's way of saying - SLOW DOWN!

Frost offers 5 tips to staying healthy:
Tip #1 - Get off your butt!
Tip #2 - Strive to Learn
Tip #3 - Do What you Love
Tip #4 - Work for Something
Tip #5 - Emotions Mean Everything

Having Passion For Your Work

It's two in the morning and I'm still on this computer doing work.

Why, you ask?

I have a passion for my work. I also have a dream that I'm chasing. However, I'm not chasing it too fast that I forget to enjoy what's going on right now. But you know, I don't look at it as "work". I look at it as doing something I love!

So, are you doing what you love? Are you doing something that gives you true bliss? If not, why not? Are you trying to fulfill someone else's idea of what you should be doing?

Today (not tomorrow, not someday) - why not try taking that first step in pursuing your dream? Do something each day that gets you that much closer to the life you've always wanted. Follow your passion. You'll be glad you did :)

A Great Article: "Abundance of Money - Abundance of Love"

I just came across this article, "Abundance of Money - Abundance of Love", by Halina Goldstein that you will definitely enjoy reading. This is my favorite part about the article:

"...Abundance is Now
Not next year, not in the next job, not in the next town.
Now.
You become free, and abundant, by simply acknowledging you are what you want to be.
You are a creative being.
Isn’t this exciting? Nothing will be blocking your way forever.
You have created it and you can remove it when you’re ready for the next phase of your journey."

Self-improvement

"The principle is competing against yourself. It's about self improvement, about being better than you were the day before. "~ Steve Young

Everyday we must strive to better ourselves as people. Putting in 100% in all that you do and enjoying each and every moment you are given her on earth will determine how far you will get in life. If you can say that you did the best that you could in every situation that you face - then you will continue to grow.

Reese Witherspoon: Oscar Winner With a Good Soul

Reese Witherspoon is an actress I admire because of her personality and humble demeanor. I watched her speech during the Academy Awards, and it was very heartfelt and so full of meaning:

"....making work that means something to somebody..."
This is what Reese said and it is the same for me as well. It is about making a difference in other people's lives through your work and having a passion and love for what you do.

My Note From the Universe

I subscribe to daily emails from TUT's Adventurer's Club, called "Notes From the Universe" which gives me my inspiration for the day. This is what I received today:

The truth is, Maria, you live in an infinitely kind and unspeakably wise Universe that you are a part of, not apart from; where you, yourself, are a creator. And of your countless creations, your life is one. You chose to be here. And infinitely benign and intelligent yourself, your choice was impeccable.

In this greatest adventure of all adventures, whatever you wish for is my command. I am your most faithful servant and constant companion. Whatever you once dreamed of for yourself, can still come to pass. It's never too late to come from behind, and things can literally change for the better in the twinkling of an eye – as you have so often shown us in the past.

You are a supernatural being whose thoughts become things and for whom all things are possible. Maria. This, being a creation amongst your own creations, is as good as it gets, because whenever you don't like what's before you, you can simply recreate it. Without hindrance from the past or so called contracts you no longer remember. There are no other rules. There are no hidden agendas. And there are no unknown variables working against you in this paradise you call home, where manifesting change most certainly couldn't be any easier than getting what you think about.

Oh yeah, way better than winning the lottery. Huh?

Wayne Dyer's Talk on PBS: Inspiring!

I watched Wayne Dyer's talk last night which aired on PBS and was filled with such inspiration - as I always do when I hear him talk.

Dr. Dyer goes into detail about inspiration and the people in his life that inspired him, including a young boy who raised money to build a well in Africa and a woman named Immaculée Ilabagiza from Rwanda who hid in a bathroom for three months so she wouldn't be killed. He also tells the story of the butterfly that landed on his finger - which is pictured on the front of his new book, Inspiration: Your Ultimate Calling

Yes, I was teary-eyed when I heard these stories - but it filled me with so much love, energy, motivation to keep with my own mission of helping others to realize their own divinity. You have the power to manifest and attract all that is good into your life :)

Dr. Dyer never fails to inspire!

A Quote From Wayne Dyer

"I anticipate a planet at peace—along with health, abundance, and love in my life and in the lives of all others—and I know that it’s moving in this direction. I know that for every act of apparent evil, there are a million acts of kindness. That’s where I place my attention, and that’s what I choose to give away. By doing so for the larger percentage of my days, my reward is a feeling of being in harmony with purpose. I have a song to sing, and by staying "in-Spirit" I’m able to sing it all day, every day."—Wayne Dyer

Mr. Dyer has a new PBS broadcast which begins tonight! Check your local listings for show times...

Pay Yourself First

Here's another blog I read occasionally in which the author, Ramit Sethi, offers advice on money and investing:

"Pay yourself first. Figure out how much you're going to save each month, and treat it like just another bill. Seriously, in your budget, add an extra expense called "Saving" and pay yourself. If you can't pay yourself that month, then you have to either cut some costs or earn more money. This is easier than you think: You can instruct your bank to automatically withdraw a certain amount out every month."

My father always advised me of this, but it wasn't until recently that I actually started listening to him :) Think of your savings account like it's another bill that you have to pay.

Do you love yourself? Then pay yourself!

Attract Money Now

Having a good attitude towards money will take you one step forward to becoming prosperous. My attitude used to be very negative – I despised people who were rich and thought that they were all evil and greedy. But how can I want to be one of those people if I had that kind of attitude? I came to realize that my attitude was preventing me from becoming rich myself.

So be grateful for what you have and have a healthful love for money….and pretty soon you’ll be attracting more money into your life!
