Escape Adulthood Today!

One thing I forgot to add on the list of ways to live a fulfilling life is to always stay in touch with your inner child. I was reminded of this when Jason of KimAndJason.com dropped by and left a comment over at Customers Are Always. You’ll love Kim and Jason’s blog which offers us plenty of ideas and ways to hug that child within us that is aching to come out and play!

Thank God that my friends have kids who keep me young - otherwise I would have a bad case of adultitis. Here are a couple examples of things I’ve done in the past month to stay young…

Blew bubbles…

Played dress up dolls…

What are you doing to escape adulthood today?

An Open Letter To Mothers Across the Country

In light of the recent event at Virginia Tech, a friend of mine asked if I could post this letter here...

Hello,

I am a 32-year-old mother of three beautiful daughters. I am deeply saddened by the loss our nation has had with the deaths at Virginia Tech. I have no desire to just sit and watch the multiple faces of sorrow cross my screen. I have an obligation to protect my children and the children in our country. I feel that we have no control at all with the type of guns that are in our communities. I know that we have had a Million Mom March on our nation's capital. However, it was not as effective as it should have been.

The politicians need to hear our voice. I would love to do an American Mom March. All the mothers in the country at the same time would march at their state capital and let our government know that the continuous loss of life is assisted by the tools that they troubled individuals legally access cause such terror. I feel that the NRA and their members have more legal protection than our own children and families. I wish to rise up with other mothers to put life first before ammunition.

Sincerely,
WGR
Mom, daughter, sister, aunt, and sister

Getting To Know David B. Bohl

I've been on information overload lately, so I haven't really been out in the blogosphere visiting my regular blog reads. As part of my month-long practice/intention of staying focused and discovering new bloggers, I did get to know one person pretty well today - and that's David B. Bohl.

David has a life balance coaching enterprise called Reflections Coaching that I truly admire. Not only does he offer a wealth of information on his website about achieving a more balanced and fulfilling life, he's written an ebook titled Your Life in Balance. Who doesn't want a more meaningful life, right?

I came upon this question he asks: If time and money weren’t an issue, what would you do with your life? For me, the question isn't so tricky. As I may have stated before, I'm doing what I love and loving what I do. However, I am challenged sometimes in that I feel I'm not moving fast enough to achieve some of my goals. Perhaps that may be related to a time issue? But as far as "following your bliss", well, I've been saying that to myself every day for about the past month now and my best friend has noticed that I look so much more relaxed!

So, anyways, back to David B. Bohl...I read one of his posts at his blog, Reflections on Balance. I like this advice and philosophy:

Don't fall into the trap of listening to somebody else's ideal of life balance. You've defined what balance looks likes to you and you're living it. There will be plenty of time to "sit back, relax, and reflect."

My definition of life balance is simply to be happy every single second of your life. For some people living a balanced life could mean working 12 hours a day, sleeping for five hours, and spending time with family for seven hours. As long as they're truly happy, right?

I leave you with a couple quotes I came across from David's Squidoo Lens where you can also get to know more about him...(Oh, you know how I love quotes and David has tons of them!)

As long as anyone believes that his ideal and purpose is outside him, that it is above the clouds, in the past or in the future, he will go outside himself and seek fulfillment where it cannot be found. He will look for solutions and answers at every point except where they can be found--in himself.
--Erich Frohm

The greatest discovery of any generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitude.
--William James

I Gotta Get Goals!

The latest blog meme that is roaming the blogosphere was started by Alex Shalman and is titled “Gotta Get Goals”. I’ve been challenged by Bradley Woods of Conceive, Believe, Achieve to state my goals here and so I share with you my top five aspirations in life:

1. Help people realize how talented, gifted, and beautiful they are. It’s sad to see people who are miserable with their life because they haven’t given themselves the chance to find their passion and do what they love.

2. Travel the world to help spread peace and happiness.

3. Raise a family in an estate in Rancho Santa Fe and create a legacy of wisdom, happiness, luxury, and giving.

4. Create multiple streams of income in order to pursue my personal goals, my business goals and give back to those who are less fortunate.

5. Make an impact on every person who reads my blogs.

Now it’s time for me to tag a few people:

Ultimate Goal

What’s Your Investment Intention?

What are you doing today to create wealth prosperity for the future? I don’t know about you, but someday I’ll have that huge estate in Rancho Santa Fe and enough money to be able to travel across the world and help other business people and children in third world countries. However, in order to get where I want to be I’ve come to realize that I need to come up with an investment intention.

Do you have an investment intention? I don’t really like to use the word “plan” because it’s such a “set in stone” word to me. You map out what you want to happen, but often times something else happens - something totally different from what you planned. This is fine by me as long as the final result is achieved. In my experience I’ve learned to just keep the goal in mind and let The Universe handle all the other details.

With that said, part of the reason I started Fully Stocked was to learn about the stock market and share my experiences with those who want investment information. Lately I’ve been thinking about the foreign exchange market. Well, lo and behold, I came across the Global Futures Exchange & Trading Co., Inc. which deals with global futures and forex trading as investments (certainly the Law of Attraction at work!). This is a whole new ball game for me, so it’s nice to know that I can start with as little as $250.

Right now I’ve just been investing in stocks, but now my journey has taken me into the global futures and foreign exchange markets. I see alot of potential in these types of investments, plus for me, foreign exchange trading ties in with learning about other countries ;)

I’d love to hear about any experience you’ve had with these types of investment vehicles and/or what your prosperity intentions are...

Disclaimer: There is risk of loss trading Futures, options and forex

Clear the Clutter and Discover Abundance

Spring has sprung and of course, that means spring cleaning! For most of us that means getting down on our hands and knees to do some deep cleaning around the house. For others it could mean cleaning out the mental clutter of our minds. For me, well, it meant organizing my greeting card supplies today!

In my book readings on the subject of abundance, I’ve learned that in order for more to come into your life, you must clear the clutter and get rid of some of that energy that weighs you down - and that could mean mental as well as material clutter.

One of the reasons I love meditating at night is that it gives me a chance to clear my mind - leaving it open for a good night rest and wonderful (and sometimes off the wall!) dreams.

In regards to my business, I’ve noticed that my greeting card business has been pretty stagnant for the past couple months. I don’t know if is related to how unorganized my work space is - probably so. It took awhile to get things in order and I found so many things I forgot about or didn’t even know I had.

I realized....that’s how life works. When clearing out all the emotional and mind clutter, you discover the beauty that resides within. You see that all you need you already have!! That thought hit home when I wrote on my To Do list to “order clear envelopes for greeting cards”, but only minutes later found that I already had clear envelopes - they were just buried under all the mess!

Are you getting rid of the clutter today?

Speaking of, you may enjoy this article I wrote titled, How To Clear the Clutter Using Feng Shui.
