To Be Rich and Wealthy You Have to "Just Be"

Red Rose in the Summer by Maria PalmaLast month I ordered Raymond Salas' book, Yoga In a Book, and every day I open it up to a random page to get my "message" for the day. Today's thought is:

The voice within your heart is always saying "Just Be".

This inspirational message couldn't have come at a better time as I sit here sneezing and coughing from a cold. It's the first time in about three years that my body has been "out of balance", so to speak. I say "out of balance" instead of "sick" because it's a better description of what happens when you worry too much about life.

As much as I thought I was in balance, I realized that I allowed some negativity to enter my thoughts. I allowed other people's problems to become my problems which caused a great deal of dissonance in my own life. Their thoughts became part of my thoughts. This is why it's so important to surround yourself with positive, abundant, and prosperous thinkers!

Going back to this idea of Just Be-ing, I think about how much many of us are on this race to become rich and wealthy. If only we could "Just Be" and just allow life to unfold the way it's supposed to happen instead of "trying" so hard, then maybe there wouldn't be so many of us who are out of balance.

Abundance Is Your Natural State

What exactly does it take to attract abundance, wealth, and prosperity?

Well, I just came across this post, "24 Principles for Creating Wealth and Prosperity", over at the Organized Brain Clutter blog. These principles are actually taken from one of my favorite books, The One Minute Millionaire, which I read several years ago. This was actually the book that inspired me to start my own online business. This book made me realize that I am already a millionaire!

One of the principles mentioned is:
Abundance is your natural state. Opportunities and blessings flow to individuals who embrace an abundant attitude.
Remember that the next time you start to feel apprehensive about your financial situation. Abundance is your natural state. Abundance is a mindset.

So, how do you go about changing your mindset? I recommend reading this past article, Going From a Mindset of Lack to a Mindset of Abundance

Wealth, Abundance, and Your Life Purpose

Albert Einstein life quoteWhat would you say your life mission would be? Is it to be rich and famous? Or is it to be peaceful and happy?

Tonight I came across a gem of a blog titled Think Simple. Be Decisive. I really liked this post, "Life on Purpose: 15 Questions to Discover Your Personal Mission".

It made me think about a friend of mine who on the surface looks like she has it all - a husband, a great job, a house in an affluent community, and healthy kids. It's what most women want, right? Well, if you get to really know her you'll discover that her husband doesn't really appreciate the things she does and could really care less about her health. All he wants to see is the $$ being made. His priorities are 1) money 2) money 3) money 4) kids 5) homes and 6) wife.

Money is good, but it's not true wealth. Doing what you love and living a life that feels meaningful - now that's wealth and abundance. That's part of my personal mission. However, your definition of wealth, abundance, and the ultimate goal in life may be different from mine. I would love to hear your thoughts on this!

Every Day is Thanksgiving: Five Things I'm Grateful For

Tomorrow many of us here in the U.S. will gather with friends and/or family to celebrate Thanksgiving Day. However, just like any holiday, I believe we should celebrate these kinds of occasions everyday!

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I would like to share five things I am grateful for today:

1. The nice, hot cup of cocoa that I'm drinking as I type up this post!

2. Beautiful weather in California. It is a bit chillier than usual, but nothing compared to how cold it is in many parts of the mid-west and the east coast!

3. That my new puppy survived parvovirus - which was one of the main reasons I haven't been blogging much lately. I was giving this little puppy all of my good energy for 3 days ;)

4. All the creative energy and gifts to share with others

5. Warm, fuzzy socks to keep my feet warm at night

Writing Down Money Goals

Are you the type of person who doesn't believe in having a money goal or plan? I used to be that person. However, what I realize now is that there is a difference between having a money plan and writing down a goal.

As I've said before, there is power in the written word. It's something about writing down your goals that solidifies its manifestation. I know that I am a part of God (The Universe, Allah, Jesus, or whatever name you assign The Supreme Power), and that I also have that same power within me to create the life I desire. We all have that power within us. So in essence, you are the creator of your life story.

Writing down money affirmations has worked for me in attracting money easily and effortlessly. Just last month I attracted $1,200 in advertising revenue through my blogs, which made it my top money-maker for October. I attribute this income to:

1. Being open to all possibilities. Many of us set our expectations too low. Then there are people who have "fixed" income and believe that this is all they're going to get each month. This is especially true for people who have a salaried position. However, always remain open to receiving an unexpected windfall of money. The "possibilities are endless" is my motto.

2. Writing down my money goal or having an income plan. You should be specific about your goal.

But don't stop at just writing down your goal for the month. Why not extend that goal to five or even ten years from now?

The other day I wrote down my ten-year income plan. Writing down this goal has opened up my mind and allowed me to go in a direction I've never gone before. I've always thought about where I want my businesses to be, but I never gave much thought to the income aspect of it. All I know is that I want to make tons of money, but I've never written an actual amount down.

How much money would you like to make in ten years? Have you thought about it?

A Healthy Life is a Wealthy Life

weight scaleTo live a long and prosperous life means that you must keep your mind and body healthy. We hear so many stories nowadays about people with cancer and people who suffer heart attacks because of poor diet.

One of my exercise goals is to work out at least three times a week. Not only is exercise a good way to keep my body slim, but it also gives me energy which increases my productivity. I also feel happier!

So many people go on diets to lose weight, which is fine, but I think a diet must go hand-in-hand with a good exercise program. But then, I've also heard of people who just use positive affirmations along with exercise to keep the weight off. I think it's possible to go that route as well.

Are you someone who can't seem to keep the weight off? Here are a couple things that I've done to keep myself healthy:

1. Post reminders around the house to exercise. Thank God for Post Its!
2. I browse through Health Magazine for education on things I can do to stay healthy
3. I say positive affirmations like: I am happy and healthy or I stay slim and trim.

I've never considered going through a weight loss program, but if you are you may be interested in this website where you can review Medifast, Nutrisystem and other weight loss diet programs . I like the article on the website that explains why diets often fail. Here's a profound thought from the article: "For diets to work, they must be part of larger lifestyle changes, and they cannot be off and on. Successful diets are usually the least radical ones."

If I could give just one piece of advice who want to lose weight and live a healthier and longer life, it would be this: Take it one day at a time. Take baby steps. Don't try to lose 10 pounds in a week if you don't believe its possible. Start with 2 pounds a week and go from there. Go with smaller, achievable steps and once you've done that and have built up confidence, go with bigger goals.

Always remember: A healthy life is a wealthy life!

Money Quote

Here's a great quote I came across recently...

"Security is not having money; it's knowing you can do without it" -- Unknown

If you woke up and had zero dollars in your bank account today, how would you feel? Would you go into a state of panic? Feel despair? Sad? Or would you feel the same as you did when you had all the money you needed?

Just some food for thought....
