How To Regain Your Energy and Natural Vitality

As I get older I'm starting to notice that I don't quite have the energy I had when I was in my 20's. Back then I was going to college full time, working as a store manager full time, and I still made time to party about three times a week! However, that's all I changed...but I realized that it doesn't have to be this way. I could regain that energy back with a few consistent actions. Here's what I've been doing to stay energized and revitalized:

Meditating1. Meditation. Meditating every morning and night has helped tremendously in my energy levels. Even during the day as I sit in front of the computer I will take 5 minutes to do a deep breathing exercise. I close my eyes and as I breathe in, I say to myself, "I am now breathing in positive energy..."

2. Exercise. I used to exercise everyday when I was in my 20's, but now it's more like 3 times a week. Even a walk around the block is enough to get the blood circulating and keep me energized. You'll notice a change in your attitude when you exercise!

3. Eat right. Get good portions of vegetables and fruits - organic is best!

4. Take vitamins. I found out about this website, Choice Nutritionals, that offers Natural Vitality vitamins and organic essential oils that dissolves energy blocks.

What do you do to stay energized?

Self-Awareness Leads to Wealth

Here's a great article about The 7 Habits of Wealth and Free Money Finance offers some thoughts about the list. FMF made note that "self-awareness" was "a bit of fluff", however, I happen to think self-awareness is very important if you want to be wealthy. When I think of self-awareness, I think about knowing who you are as a person and knowing your passions in life. When you find that passion, you attract abundance and wealth to you!

"Livin' On Love and Loans"

This is what a contestant on the game show, Deal or No Deal, said as they played to win $1,000,000. I'm sure many of us can relate to this idea of living on love and loans. Is it possible to live a life like this and still be happy? Perhaps so. This seems to be the reality of many people living in America. We live in a "buy now pay later" world. While this is ok in certain situations like building a business, this mentality has caused challenges for many people who purchased a home in the past few years.

There's a great deal of press about this "mortgage crisis" that's currently going on. People who bought a home with an adjustable rate mortgage (ARM) are discovering that they're mortgage payments are rising every month. They say that foreclosures have reached "all-time highs". Do you find yourself in this situation? Here are some prosperity affirmations that will help ease the worry...

Close-up of Dollar Bills * The Universe provides resources to help me pay my mortgage
* Every day in every way my life gets better and better
* Money is now flowing to me from unexpected sources
* I am grateful for this safe and secure home

I highly recommend saying these affirmations to yourself at least 3 times a day. Also writing these affirmations down helps to put good energy into your subconscious. Affirmations have always helped stimulate the flow of abundance to me.

Ok, so what if you're somebody who has had some financial troubles with loans. Perhaps your home or car has been repossessed and you're looking for a plan to get you back on track. Here are a few tips:

1. Live within your means.
2. Rebuild your credit with Secured Loans.
3. Read books or blogs on financial management. I personally liked the book, Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki

Have any tips to share?

Love Is All You Need

Last night before I drifted off to sleep this Beatles song was floating around in my mind...
There's nothing you can do that can't be done.
Nothing you can sing that can't be sung.
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game.
It's easy.

Nothing you can make that can't be made.
No one you can save that can't be saved.
Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you in time.
It's easy.

All you need is love.
All you need is love.
All you need is love, love.
Love is all you need....
The words flowed as I thought about Liz Strauss' post, 25 Ways to Love What You Do So That The Money Follows. It's true - all you need is love! This excellent article was a reminder that Follow Your Dreamscomplaining about other people's good fortune or what we perceive as someone stealing our time is actually detrimental to our own prosperity and growth. Send out love and good vibes to everyone...even those who make life a challenge!

Incidentally, I also came across some thoughts from Marnie Pehrson on this topic of doing what you love. I completely agree with this: "Time flies when you're having fun. You'll know you've found your passion when you're in the zone, are incredibly productive, and can't wait to get to work."

The Source of Life and Abundance

Awhile ago a friend of mine gave me this little magazine called "Daily Word". Every day you read a couple paragraphs of inspiration. The magazine is published by Silent Unity and I wanted to share a page with you...

God is the way and my source of life and abundance.

Our prayers create a bridge of faith that we cross over to heal physical or emotional hurt. We can heal even when there seems to be no way for us to experience health of mind and body.

We move from pain to relief, from anger to forgiveness through the sacred activity of prayer. In prayer we affirm healing of our bodies and our relationships. Believing in God and healing, we affirm the healing and express the healing that is the very core of God's plan of our creation.

Through prayer we build a bridge over troubles and challenges. We make a conscious connection to the power and presence of God within us and every situation. God is the way and our source of life and abundance.

Discovering Your Inner Artist and Passion in Life

After 9/11 hit New York I was at odds about what I wanted to do with my life. I had just started working in the travel industry and wanted that glamorous life of being able to travel the world.

"What do I do now?" was the question that went through my mind after I was laid off from my job. I knew that I loved kids, so I decided to try preschool teaching for awhile. That was fun, but what I discovered really enjoyed was creating art with the kids. Well, the art part was really fun...working with kids was quite the challenge!

Well, next thing you know I'm taking painting classes at the local community college and reigniting my love for art. Van Gogh and Monet's oil paintings became inspiration for my own works of art.

And the rest is history!

In retrospect I realize that I was able to turn something utterly tragic into something positive and meaningful. I was able to discover my own passion and purpose in life despite all the chaos that was happening at the time (and unfortunately, is still going on!)

So, what about you? Have you discovered your own inner artist? Are you creating the life that you want? Do you have the ability to turn negative into positive?

My New Vision Board/Book Sample

Sample Vision Board/Book
On yesterday's Oprah show they talked about vision boards and people came on to show samples of their own vision board. Recently I started a new vision board - actually, it's more like a vision book. I still have my old vision board that I hang on the wall in front of my treadmill, however, I wanted something compact that I could take with me while I travel.

I went to Michael's and purchased this sketchbook...It's a different type of sketchbook because not only does it have blank pages for you to sketch or paste pictures on, the other side is lined so you can write down notes, goals, or affirmations that go along with the pictures.

Make sure to check out this virtual vision board I created that you can watch on your computer...

What Do Celine Dion and Cher Have in Common?

It's American Idol season and like millions of others, I've been tuning in to see who will be the next singing music star in America. Music is a subject that is near and dear to my heart. I've found great healing in music and believe that there are many benefits to having inspiring music in our life.

Last night on American Idol there was a guy who shared his story about living in his car and following his dreams of becoming a singing star. The judges have put him through to Hollywood and I'm curious to see how far he will go on this journey. I'm definitely rooting for him! However, his story isn't unique. There have been many people before him who have risked everything in their lives just to follow their dreams.
Cher in Lights

I recently read that Celine Dion made $100 million for her shows in Vegas. Now I hear that Cher will be taking her place. (Get Cher tickets for Caesars Palace in Las Vegas now!) So, what do these two singers - or all successful musical artists for that matter - have in common?

They followed their passions and dreams! They didn't let anyone or anything get in the way of what they wanted in life...and they are dedicated to putting on spectacular performances for their fans.

How about you? What are you doing today to follow your dreams? What are you doing to create abundance and happiness for yourself? Do you want to be a singing superstar?

The Oprah Show: Louise Hay, Martha Beck, and Cheryl Richardson Talk About the Law of Attraction

Today's Oprah show was truly inspiring! A woman whom I have admired for quite some time now, Louise Hay, founder of Hay House Publishing and author of Heal Your Life, was on the show along with Martha Beck and Cheryl Richardson to talk about The Law of Attraction and creating a better life for yourself.

For those of you who have been reading this blog for awhile, you know that I fully believe in the Law of Attraction and how thoughts do become things. I've shared with you my vision board and the books that have helped on my own journey to a life of abundance, happiness, and purpose. So watching the Oprah show today was more reinforcement that I am truly living an inspired life.

However, as some of you may know, it hasn't always been like this for me. I've had to go through destructive relationships and major depression to get where I am today. I do believe that positive thinking and affirmations are key tools in starting your own abundant journey. It definitely worked for me!

Here's the movie trailer for Louise Hay's new movie based on her book...

Maximizing the Abundance You Have or How to Live on a Budget

Money GoalsThere's a saying that goes something like, "It's not how much money you make, it's how much you keep." It's simple advice, but so few of us really know exactly how to do it. How does one cut down on unnecessary spending? How can you save more of the money that you make?

In my studies of millionaires and billionaires I discovered that many of them are actually penny-pinchers. I don't mean that in a bad way, like they hoard money, but they are very wise when it comes to spending money.

Part of being an abundant person is knowing how to manage your money, so I thought I'd share some tips from my own experience on how to live on a budget:

* Cut down on eating out. We live in a fast paced society where people think that they don't have the time to cook dinner. However, this is probably the number one expense where people tend to overspend the most. There are tons of dishes that take only 30 minutes to cook if you're pressed for time. Also, bringing a lunch to work helps in cutting down costs on food. Most people spend between $5-$10 on lunch. Multiply that by 20 and that's $100-$200 a month on lunch alone!

* Live with roommates instead of living alone. You can save a significant amount of money by sharing rent with someone else. Imagine only having to pay $500 for a shared 2 bedroom apartment instead of paying $800 for a one bedroom apartment. Granted, you won't have as much privacy as you would get if you lived by yourself, but just remember, the arrangement won't be forever!

* Shop around for mortgages. Mortgages are the biggest expense for most people. If you own your own home and have an ARM (adjustable rate mortgage), now is the time to shop around for a fixed-rate mortgage and lower your interest rate. You can get free advice and rate quotes at websites like MoneyMagic.

Money Inspirational Quote* Take public transportation. This may not be feasible in some areas of the country, but for those of you who live in the city, why not take public transportation a few times a week? You can also carpool with a coworker who lives in your area. If you have a SUV, maybe it's time to trade it in for a more economic car - even a hybrid car?

* Never pay retail for clothing. Department stores usually have sales on the weekend, so shop during those times or find an outlet mall where you can find bargains galore. Also, stay away from the mall if you can help it. Most people go to the store or mall just to "look around", however, that is too much temptation to spend money on things you don't need.

* Cut down on the electricity use. There are many ways to save on electricity: Shut off the lights when you leave a room. Don't use your blow dryer everyday. Use major appliances like the washer and dryer in the evenings. Cut down on the TV watching. Use energy-efficient light bulbs like CFL's (compact fluorescent light bulbs) instead of the old standard incandescent bulbs.

* Save on entertainment. Yes, part of life is going out and having a good time, but you don't have to go out every weekend! Instead of going to the movies where you pay $10 per ticket, why not rent a movie from the video store instead? Instead of buying books and magazines at the bookstore, why not check out books from the library?

* Always have a list when you go shopping. Whether it's going grocery shopping or heading to the big box retail stores like Walmart or Target, always make a list of things you need - not things you want - before you go. Don't veer off that list and don't try to talk yourself into thinking that you need another pair of jeans if you have five pairs at home!

Cutting down on living expenses will take a little bit of time and discipline to implement, especially if you're someone who never gave much thought to where your money goes. Even if you just saved $1 each day, that would be $365 you could have at the end of the year that could go towards retirement, a down payment on a home, or even a much-needed vacation!

The Big Why

Question Mark Squircle by Gareth SimpsonHas this question ever come across your mind, "Why am I doing this?" You're working long, hard days and it seems that you're not getting anywhere....like a big rat running on a treadmill trying to keep up with the Joneses. If this sounds like you, I recommend reading Curt Rosengren's post, What's your Big Why?

I have my Big Why printed on my business cards: "Creating a beautiful world, one person at a time". I'm always reminded of it when I hand out my card to someone. However, once in awhile I'll forget - especially on those days when I pull in those 10-12 hours days!

How to Make Positive Affirmations Work For You

Every night before I go to bed and every morning before I start work I log in to YouTube and watch some of my favorite wealth affirmation videos. Today I came across this one minute video that has affirmations to attract money...

The use of affirmations has helped me tremendously in attracting abundance into my own life - whether it's manifesting better health, more money, or more peaceful, harmonious relationships. I was even inspired to create my own affirmation video.

One thing I must note when saying affirmations: You must fully believe and feel those good vibrations in your bones in order for those positive affirmations to be effective. Ray Davis of The Affirmation Spot offers more tips on making affirmations work. Ray also gives 25 free affirmations, so make sure to check out his post!

When you say positive affirmations to yourself, you're letting The Universe know that you are claiming that goodness in your life. If you've ever watched toddlers play, you've probably heard the word, "Mine!" come up very often. Affirmations work the same way. In essence, you're saying that those things you want are indeed yours. "I am healthy and energized!"...."Mine!" In other words, "That's my health and energy and I claim it for me now!" Believe that you deserve it!
