Law of Attraction: Is Action Necessary?

Law of Attraction Quote by Lester Levenson

A post I wrote earlier (see "How the Law of Attraction Works For Me") has garnered some interesting comments....

Bill Perry said something that got me thinking:
"It's not absolutely necessary for there to be ACTION. Most discussion of LoA says that you can't just sit around and visualize.

I must disagree.

I have manifested plenty without taking action. I just think that the reason most people need action to manifest stuff is that they BELIEVE that's how it must be..."
After much thought, I have to say that I agree. If you believe that action is necessary to manifest your desires, then that's how things will show up for you. If you believe that things will come to you easily and effortlessly, then that's how it will happen.

I started looking back at some of the things that have shown up in my life - especially money. There have been many times when money has shown up unexpectedly after visualizing and saying affirmations. I didn't have to take any special action to acquire the money. Sometimes the money will show in the form of a commission(s) through an affiliate program or I'll receive a donation from someone who wanted to show their support for my blog.

One of my favorite affirmations is, "Money flows to me easily and effortlessly." At night before I go to bed and in the morning when I wake up I repeat this affirmation for a couple minutes or so.

Kathy Hadley also shared her thoughts about taking action:
"I always tell people, IF action is required, you will be inspired, which I think is what she is saying here, too.

Abraham says "no amount of action will make up for being out of alignment with your desire."

However, if you truly believe it will take action, of courses it will. "YOU are always right."

Meaning the person is always "right" for them, even in their wrongness as we all create our own universes based on our beliefs, intention, attention and emotions. They may not be "right" for anyone else but they will attract everything to "prove" their "rightness". They must. It is the LOA at work!"
Here's another perspective offered by Jimmy Roos in "Law of Attraction - How Much Action is Needed?"

What are your thoughts? Do you think action is necessary to manifest your desires?

Would you like to treat me to a cup of tea? Please make a donation! Thank you!

Take the Leap of Faith: Turn Your Passion Into Wealth

Live with Passion Flickr photo by It's Holly

"If there is no passion in your life, then have you really lived? Find your passion, whatever it may be. Become it, and let it become you and you will find great things happen FOR you, TO you and BECAUSE of you." -- T. Alan Armstrong

There are many people out there who have allowed the current economy to dictate their lives. I'm hearing of stories about people who have been searching for a job for months without any solid leads. But what if you could make a living doing what you love and working for yourself?

As someone who has been self-employed for the past three years, I can't tell you how exciting it is to wake up each day and be able to write out my own schedule for the day. It's even more exciting to be able to follow my passions and help other people in the process.

If there's anything that you should take away from reading this blog, it's this: Follow your dreams and create wealth doing something you absolutely love to do. To me that is living the good life!

This leads me to share with you this post at my online business blog, It's Your Time For Online Success: Turn Your Passion Into Profit.

I can't express enough how much fun it is to attract abundance when you find meaning in your life's work. You elevate to a higher level of vibration which in turn attracts more abundance to you.

Don't you think it's time to take that leap of faith?

If you have a story about how you turned your passion into wealth, I'd love to hear it! Leave a comment or email maria [at] wealth-prosperity [dot] info.

How the Law of Attraction Works For Me

There is a great deal of information out there about the Law of Attraction (aka "LOA"). Over the past few years since the movie, The Secret, came out, there have been a flood of books and articles that talk about how you can attract and manifest all your desires. However, there also seems to be a great deal of confusion about exactly how the Law of Attraction works.

Many people are under the impression that all you have to do is visualize something and *poof*, you'll get what you visualize. If that was the case, we'd all be lying around on our couches visualizing all day!

In my experience of using the Law of Attraction, I've learned that there is a process by which you manifest your desires:

1. Be clear about what you want - What is it exactly that you want? Imagine in detail what it is that you desire.

I believe that affirmations and visualization go hand in hand. As you're picturing in your mind what you want, affirm to yourself, "I claim _________ as mine." Make an intention.

In the book, Creative Visualization, Shakti Gawain offers a long list of affirmations you can use. Here are a few that I like:
  • Everything I need is coming to me easily and effortlessly.
  • Everything I need is already within me.
  • I am an open channel of creative energy.
  • The more I give, the more I receive, and the happier I feel.
2. Believe - In order to manifest your desires, you have to believe that it is true. Know without a doubt that it can happen. Get into that mode of positive knowing. Trust that circumstances will bring about what it is that you want.

If you believe in something, five minutes later you don't say something that contradicts that belief. I know people who want to be multi-millionaires, but then I'll often catch them saying things like, "I'm broke" or "I can't afford that". Keep in mind that "I am" are powerful words.

When using the Law of Attraction, you have to stay focused on what you want and don't say or do anything that contradicts what you want.

3. Feel it - If someone handed you a check for a million dollars right now, how would you feel? Ecstatic? Joyful? In order to attract abundance, you have align your vibrations with abundance. Act as if you already have what it is that you desire.

If you ever feel resistance or negative thoughts come to you, you can wipe out those vibes by repeating a positive affirmation over and over for a few minutes.

When I first started using the Law of Attraction, I had this fear that I wouldn't have enough money to pay my bills. However, I started saying an affirmation to myself whenever I would go into a store to buy something. As soon as I reached into my wallet and pulled out the money, I would affirm, "I am taken care of every day in every way."

Another thing I started doing is writing "Thank You!" on my bills. Being grateful puts you in a higher state of vibration.

Yosemite Waterfall4. Go with the flow - After you've set an intention of what you desire, simply go on your merry way with the expectation that an idea or opportunity will present itself that will help in achieving your desire.

When you go with the flow, you're not feeling needy or desperate. Feeling like you need something only stops the flow because you're sending out this idea that you don't feel as if it will come to you. This negative vibe starts to attract worry, doubts, and fears.

Going with the flow means that you are flexible. You may have a goal and a plan to achieve a goal, however, something else may come along that takes you in another (faster!) direction towards your goal.

For instance, let's say that I have a goal of visiting New York. My plan is to make the cross-country trip by renting a car and driving to New York. However, a friend calls me up and says, "Hey, you can borrow my jet and fly to New York." Would I take my friend's offer? Of course!!

One technique that has helped me stay in the flow is meditation.

5. Take action! - When you relax and go with the flow, you'll start to notice all kinds of opportunities that will help manifest your desires. When these ideas come to you, take action! There is a reason why these ideas flow to you.

The challenge I currently face is that I have big ideas - ideas that will require a team to carry out. What I've discovered is that I allow these big ideas to overwhelm me, which in turn cause me to freeze up and not take action. However, I'm learning to take one step at a time. I've created outlines and have written my ideas out on paper. I'm also learning to trust that the necessary resources will present themselves in due time.

6. Be a Giver - If it's money that you want, then give money away. If you want happiness and peace, provide happiness and peace to others. Remember that like attracts like. This is the essence of the Law of Attraction. Whatever you give away comes back to you tenfold.

As you can see, the Law of Attraction is a process that requires action on your part. If you have a tip you'd like to share or have a different way of using LOA, please leave a comment!

The Promise of Law of Attraction

Jump for Joy by Bing Ramos

"It's not your work to make anything happen. It's your work to dream it and let it happen. Law of Attraction will make it happen. In your joy, you create something, and then you maintain your vibrational harmony with it, and the Universe must find a way to bring it about. That's the promise of Law of Attraction." ~ Abraham Hicks

Achieving Your Vision of Abundance

Abundance of Green ApplesThis is a guest post by Steve Brunkhorst...

How can we have more abundance in our lives? It begins by noticing the abundance that we already have.

We cannot experience abundance yesterday or tomorrow. Only in this moment can we be aware of our richest blessings. Only now can we visualize those things that will represent abundance for each of us. The key is to realize that we will get no more and no less than we ask for, work toward, and believe we will receive.

Abundance does not begin with material wealth or treasure, although those things may manifest with faith and action. Abundance is first a state of mind. It arises from feelings of gratitude for all that we have and all that we visualize.

Sarah Ban Breathnach wrote, "Whatever we are waiting for -- peace of mind, contentment, grace, the inner awareness of simple abundance -- it will surely come to us, but only when we are ready to receive it with an open and grateful heart."

Neither does abundance occur by chance. Lewis Grizzard (1946-1994), said, "A lot of what we ascribe to luck is not luck at all. It is seizing the day and accepting responsibility for your future. It's seeing what other people don't see and pursuing that vision."

To experience abundance, we must first decide what abundance means for us. Then we must see ourselves as already abundant. Most importantly, we must begin to give to others in whatever capacity we are able. We eventually receive in great multiples the abundance that we bring into the lives of others.

Ask yourself this question: What do I already have in my possession that will contribute to my personal vision of abundance?

Become aware of the abundance all around you - the brilliant autumn sunsets, the sound of a friend's voice, the touch of a child's hand. Treat every breath of air and every act of love as a gift. Take nothing for granted.

The Creator wants you to be abundant. He will reward graciously all who share their faith in an abundant world with others.
