Riches Through Specialized Knowledge

Quote about Knowledge
We gain riches through our knowledge and the actions that we take. The things that you love to do and your knowledge of a particular subject can deem you a specialist in a field.

There are many ways that you can gain knowledge. Whatever the subject is, most likely there is someone in the world who is making a great deal of money because of their knowledge on that subject. They are passionate - sometimes to the point of being obsessed - and want to learn as much as they can.

In the book, “Think and Grow Rich”, Napoleon Hill said that there are two types of knowledge: general and specialized. It is specialized knowledge that will help you turn a desire into money. So, what can you do to gain this specialized knowledge?

1) Learn on your own. Some people are self-taught. They read books, magazines, and research the Internet. They take what they learn and create experiences for themselves, which can provide unique knowledge that they share with others.

When I wanted to start an internet business, I would come home everyday after work and browse the internet learning from other people who had become successful starting their own business online. At the time there weren’t any college classes offered for internet marketing, so I subscribed to newsletters and read tons of ebooks.

2) Get “hands-on” training from others. You get to learn from their mistakes. You can be an apprentice to someone who is already a specialist in their field. Some people learn better from doing rather than reading.

3) Take classes. We live in a time where there are so many resources and teachers at our disposal. You can even take classes from the comfort of your own home now. There are online mba degrees available if I ever wanted to further my business knowledge. If leading and teaching others is your thing, all you have to do is search “masters degree organizational leadership” on the web to find schools.

Once you have the knowledge, create a plan to turn that knowledge into money. As Napoleon Hill suggested, never stop acquiring specialized knowledge regarding your purpose, business, or profession.

“Knowledge will not attract money, unless it is organized, and intelligently directed, through practical plans of action, to the definite end of accumulation of money.” -- Napoleon Hill.

Regardless of what you do, the most important thing is to just have fun and be passionate about it. Know in your mind that you are already successful and BELIEVE it. Visualize every day that you are successful, and feel that success permeate throughout your body!

The richest man that ever lived, King Solomon, taught that we should pursue knowledge because it is the principal thing!
