Paying Taxes and Law of Attraction

The subject of taxes is one that brings a great deal of emotion out of me. I've had heated debates about whether or not we should pay taxes. I, for one, believe that we should not pay taxes on our income.

There are many reasons why I don't believe in paying income taxes, but I'll spare taking you down the rabbit hole. I don't want to turn this post into a political debate, and frankly, I'm just tired of thinking and talking about it. Perhaps in another life I was involved in the Boston Tea Party. I am not currently not involved in the modern tea party movement, though.

I am fascinated with the U.S. tax system, and if I wasn't a writer, perhaps I would have gotten an LLM in tax ethics and theory. I guess it's never too late to study LLM tax programs. After all, people will always need help in this area. I recently spoke with a tax lawyer who schooled me on the benefits of setting up a trust.

I have been doing some research on tax laws in U.S. and I do seem to come across many people who bring up the topic of taxes, so perhaps this is the law of attraction at work.

After being involved in another discussion about taxes yesterday, I was reminded about a conversation I had a few years ago. I was on a conference call with my prosperity coach at the time and the subject of paying taxes came up. A woman on the call didn't think it was right that Americans have to pay X amount of their income to the government. How could they just take that away from us?

The prosperity coach said that she sensed a lot of negative emotion towards the notion of paying taxes, and that this negativity was playing a part in why money was not flowing into her life. We should feel as if we have all the money we need to pay whatever is asked of us. The idea that someone is taking money from you puts you in a negative vibration and a mind state of lack. Instead of dwelling on the thought of losing money, why not focus on attracting more money into your life?

Although I agree with the prosperity teacher, I still maintain my position on the idea of not paying income taxes. It still brings up negative emotion, but not as bad as before.

What do you think?

Soime food for thought - Bob Proctor once said 'prosperity isn't something doled out from a limited source, but attracted from an unlimited source.'
