This morning I realized that it's been awhile since I woke up and stopped to think about all the things that I am grateful for. In the hustle and bustle of life, I've neglected the morning ritual of listening to gratitude meditations and starting off my day on a positive note.
Well, no wonder I've been in such a funky mood this past week and didn't have the energy to do any writing!
I don't know when or why I stopped doing the morning gratitude meditation, but I truly understand now why it's so important. I am grateful to have experienced the contrast between waking up and just going, going, going versus waking up and easing into my morning in a state of love and gratitude.
That was a great reminder for me to spend time every morning to meditate in gratitude no matter what's going on or where I am. Everything and everyone else can wait.
Once I spent some time basking in gratitude today, I felt as if a big weight was lifted off my soul and spirit. All the negative feelings were washed away in a matter of minutes.
Basking in gratitude is something I encourage you to try. Don't just do it today. Do it everyday and see how your life changes...and share your experience via comments below!
