Book Review: Tune In By Sonia Choquette

Tune In by Sonia Choquette
The answers to all the questions you have about life are available if you just stop, take a breath, and tune in. That's what I'm learning - and was further reminded of - when I read Sonia Choquette's book, Tune In: Let Your Intuition Guide You to Fulfillment and Flow.

Through her client's and her own experiences, Sonia shares stories that validate something I've known for quite awhile, but forget to practice: Tuning in to "gut feelings" is the best guidance you can receive when you don't know what to do...that the answer always comes when you ask The Universe a question. Pause, allow your mind to be quiet, and go with the flow of life.

"...finally stop and take a breath and open up that door to our own inner power. This drama and trauma of our awakening is the rumble before the storm, the shake before the quake that upsets the mind-numbing status quo and motivates us (or more accurately, sometimes forces us) to stop the panic habit and tune in to our own higher awareness for direction and relief."

Tune In not only offers inspiring storytelling and practical how to's, but at the end of every chapter you're given the opportunity to ask yourself questions and receive true answers from the heart.

One of my favorite exercises from the book is creating a personal altar, a place you can turn to every day for a few minutes to sit quietly and go within. My sacred place is an area right below the deck where I've planted a variety of succulents in pots. I like to sit on the steps, look out at the lake, and meditate.

Tune In is an easy read with many Aha! moments. If you're feeling out of sorts, not sure what to do about your life, or just need a reminder that following your intuition is one of the keys to happiness, I highly recommend this book.
